Primary Objective of Position
Maintain the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement and track a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all hotel equipment, systems, and facilities.
- Oversee daily maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and staff.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Recruit, Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance staff, including engineers, technicians, and other support personnel.
- Delegate tasks, set work schedules, and ensure that all team members adhere to safety guidelines and standards.
- Assist in preparing and managing the engineering department's annual budget.
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective maintenance solutions while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist in maintain and execute upon the hotel Capital 5 year plan
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
- Oversee work quality and manage vendor relationships.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to address equipment failures, power outages, or other crises.
- Ownership over the Hotel Safety Committee
- Ensure that emergency systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, etc.) are functional and compliant with regulations.
- Ensure that the hotel complies with all local, state, and federal regulations related to safety, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Maintain records and documentation related to inspections, permits, and certifications.
- Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability within the hotel's infrastructure.
- Implement eco-friendly practices and technologies to reduce operational costs and the hotel's environmental footprint.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to maintenance issues.
- Strive to provide excellent guest experiences by maintaining a high standard of service.
