Job Description
WGME CBS 13 / WPFO FOX 23 in Portland, Maine is searching for a motivated and qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Chief Engineer. Part of the station's Engineering management team, the ACE is responsible for coordinating day-to-day implementation and repair of station technical assets. This role has a strong need for someone with problem-solving skills, technical prowess, and the ability to direct and fulfill the success of additional members of the department.
The ideal candidate :
- Has experience working in a broadcast production environment
- Is familiar with simple circuitry, wiring, and soldering
- Great communication and ability to teach others in a beneficial way
- Organized, structured, and planned project management
- Familiar with advanced concepts as it pertains to video cameras, microphones, mixers, transmitters, general networking, computer software and hardware, and building maintenance
