Duties:
- Enforce laws and ordinances to maintain public safety and order
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence for criminal cases
- Arrest individuals suspected of committing crimes
- Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents and actions taken
- Serve legal documents such as warrants and subpoenas
- Provide traffic control and direct vehicles during special events or emergencies
- Assist with animal care and handling as needed
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Completion of a certified law enforcement training program or academy
- Knowledge of law enforcement principles, practices, and techniques
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
Note: Experience in loss prevention or animal handling is a plus, but not required for this position.
