Full-Time

Faulkner’s Ranch is currently seeking someone with a professional and organized demeanor to manage the care and upkeep of our 50-acre event venue. You are an ideal candidate if you thrive working outdoors with equipment, managing people, are willing to perform a variety of tasks, and desire to help create a memorable experience at a fun, family-owned business. This position requires a high integrity and hard working individual who can treat our property like their own.

Key responsibilities of the Property Manager include creating and implementing a maintenance plan to include procedures, tasks, staff, budgets, equipment and safety. This position requires communication with the utility team grounds crew, and internal Faulkner’s staff to implement these things to maintain the property in an efficient, organized, professional, and safe manner.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with other managers such as Event Coordinator, Food and Beverage, Animal Care, as well as Ranch Owners to provide an excellent guest experience from set up to clean up of each event and seasonal festival.
  • Manage the utility staff, grounds crew, and lawn care company effectively, providing clear direction and communication, giving feedback, and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Oversee and perform routine and preventive maintenance efforts within the Ranch which includes creating and implementing a maintenance schedule, and ensuring that the team adheres to it.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for any tasks beyond the scope of the internal team which includes procuring bids, overseeing work, and ensuring jobs are completed on time and within budget.
  • Regularly inspect the property and grounds to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement and then take the necessary steps to address issues promptly.
  • Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
  • Present professionally, positively and with polish as Faulkner’s representative in interactions with other staff, vendors, and venue guests.

Daily Tasks:

  • Set up and clean up for various events to include tables, chairs, inflatables, lawn games and more
  • Remodel, repair, update aspects of event spaces and outdoor play areas including carpentry, painting, staining, powerwashing, basic plumbing and electrical
  • Inventory control through submitting order requests & pars level maintained
  • Keep storage spaces labeled, clean, organized
  • Keep small machines clean and maintained
  • Work with grounds crew to maintain landscaping, pruning, raking

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors, acclimating to a variety of working conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks like climb ladders, shovel snow, drive tractors and utv’s.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications and training preferred.
  • Proven experience in property maintenance work or in a hospitality environment.
  • Excellent observational skills with the ability to identify potential safety risks and take appropriate action.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, employees, and external parties.
  • Physical stamina and fitness to respond to property emergencies if necessary.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage time, and work alone much of the time.
  • Availability to work Monday - Friday as well as weekend and night events during peak seasons with relatively open availability the month of October
  • Comfortability with small machinery and power tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • previous experience in a managerial position or in a field related to the industry. and expertise in handling projects and employees

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
