Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Coordinator for Outreach and Community Engagement for the Title III grant awarded by the Department of Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting outreach initiatives that foster engagement among students and the wider community. This individual will report to the Project Director of the Eagles Soar Programs and will work to strengthen partnerships, develop community engagement strategies, and advance educational and career exploration programs. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.
Fully funded for a period of two years. Employment beyond the life of the grant is subject to grant renewal or University funding.
Summary of Duties :
- Develop and implement workshops, events, and mentorship opportunities to support Eagles Soar's mission, promoting educational pathways and retention for students
- Oversee event planning logistics, including scheduling, securing venues, coordinating transportation, managing supplies, and preparing materials
- Maintain detailed records, manage program databases, and prepare reports for internal evaluation and external funding requirements
- Develop and maintain communications for program outreach, including newsletters, social media, and community announcements
- Work closely with the Director to identify and implement long-term strategies to improve outreach, engagement, and the educational impact of Eagles Soar
