Clinical Technician - Med/Surg - FT Nights

Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care and clerical/administrative activities.

·       Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.

·       Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.

·       Performs a variety of administrative duties to support efficient operations including copying, faxing, and mail distribution. Maintains accurate and organized records, logs, and files as assigned.

Minimum Education:

Preferred:  High school diploma or equivalent

(Current High School Students are exempt from diploma requirements)

Required Skills:

Certifications Required:

Basic Life Support (BLS) (may obtain week of orientation)

Preferred:  Current VA State CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License

Minimum Work Experience:

Healthcare experience preferred
