Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The IMM Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for many different new model programs within the Molding Department.
Responsibilities:
Support, monitor, and if needed create/implement RJG scientific molding processes- Establish process parameters for new model production tools
- Evaluate molding process issues as to root cause of new tooling issues
- Attend New Model tooling trials as necessary to identify potential production issues prior to running at the plant
- Develop and/or participate in DOE for definition of processes on new production tools/products
- Update/audit process parameters for Molding Machines to ensure compliance with ISO/TSO requirements
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues with materials, or tooling using DOE and statistical tools
- Participate and lead QRCI teams for resolution of both internal and external customer issues
- Work closely with Facilities Engineering for production input for requirements on New Model Programs
- Develop and maintain Golden Book for all Processes and update when needed.
- Read EL and/or HY schematics to assist skilled trades for troubleshooting
- Work with ABB and gantry-style unloaders in support of new model production
- Overtime required on a semi-regular basis. Shift work is required.
- Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
- Follow requirements established in Louisville Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure full respect of HSE rules and regulations.
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
Your profile and competencies to succeed
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- First-rate computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel, GMAP.
- Must be willing to take on various special projects as they are identified.
- Experience with PLC programming and/or troubleshooting a plus.
- RJG scientific molding methodology experience and/or Master Molder certification preferred.
