Join FAVOR Lowcountry as a Certified Peer Support Specialist and help us make a difference in the community! Under general supervision, this role will support recovery efforts through peer navigation, and harm reduction services. The Peer Support Specialist will create a welcoming environment for individuals and families seeking support and guidance in their recovery journey.
Responsibilities include:
- Building community relationships to expand harm reduction and peer support services.
- Offering wrap-around support, including housing, job placement, and transportation.
- Providing case management and tracking progress via our Recovery Data Platform.
- Facilitating group meetings and outreach in the community.
- Ensuring harm reduction supplies are readily available and educating on safe practices.
Requirements:
- South Carolina Peer Support Specialist Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Strong communication skills, personal transportation, and basic computer proficiency.
