Tria Federal (TRIA) is seeking a talented Managing Consultant!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Role Overview: Managing Consultants (MCs) provide direct leadership to an assigned team within the organizational structure along with direct project teams. Staff and project team management is combined with direct client engagement and ownership of those relationships along with strengthening and growth of new relationships. MCs utilize a robust competency model to assist staff with management of their careers, professional development, and achieving individual goals. They also lead project teams, provide clear, concise, and timely feedback on staff performance while developing continuous improvement opportunities for all levels of performers. As part of our leadership team, MCs still engage directly in deliverable development and production while maintaining strategic management of contracts, resources, and clients.

MCs are primary drivers of F|A|Ps culture and operating environment. They drive solutions development for clients through creation and strengthening of direct reports and project teams. They manage the quality of delivery while ensuring the strategic alignment of client and corporate goals. They encourage open communication, creative and analytical thinking, through actions and accomplishments.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management support and leadership of federal consulting engagements
  • Managing project tasks, ensuring quality assurance and data validity, supporting project plans, and providing resource estimates to ensure deliverables and timelines are met, including frequent ad hoc requests
  • Preparing and presenting project deliverables and findings to senior project stakeholders and practice area leadership as required, through the use of graphs, tables, and other strategic information to summarize analyses and results
  • Contributing to an innovative and team-oriented work environment with individual accountability and ownership to the success of the practice
  • Committing to knowledge development and continuing to educate and share knowledge with clients and team members
  • Building collaborative methods to develop and share internal reports with peersDeveloping and maintaining productive relationships with clients across multiple agencies and internal leadership
  • Managing expectations of service delivery and direct staff to accomplish deadlines across business service areas
  • Developing accurate project plans and resources estimates, monitoring and tracking project execution and ensuring budgets and timelines are met
  • Presenting project deliverables and findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Fostering an innovative and team-oriented work environment with individual accountability and ownership to the success of the practice
  • Committing to knowledge development, continuing to educate and share knowledge with clients and team members



Required Skills & Experience



  • Experience conducting data analysis and converting those outcomes into a narrative and recommendations
  • Experience leading large projects in a consulting environment; developing work plans, coordinating resources to meet deadlines for deliverables, and tracking staff contributions
  • Track record of displaying a self-starting attitude, strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a dynamic environment and produce deliverables in tight timeframes

Professional Certification(s):

Formal Education:

Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field

Years of Professional Experience:

10 years of experience

Professional management consulting experience with at least three (3) years of independently leading groups and project work plans



Desired Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery operations, revenue cycle, and strategies to address operational deficiencies would be preferred
  • Experience and exposure to business development concepts would be preferred
