What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wage and Hour Class Action Associate position at Fawkes IDM?
Responsibilities
- Conducting legal research and analysis on wage and hour class action cases.
- Reviewing documents related to these cases including class certification motions, discovery responses, and expert reports.
- Preparing pleadings and motions in state and federal court.
- Drafting discovery requests and responses.
- Assisting in the drafting of mediation statements and negotiating with opposing counsel.
- Conducting and defending depositions.
- Participating actively in team meetings and providing input on legal strategies.
The ideal candidate should have experience handling all aspects of litigation, such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs including but not limited to oppositions to class certification motions, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending to certain court appearances.
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in California is mandatory.
- 3 years' experience in wage and hour class action litigation.
