Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, particularly in the areas of catheterization procedures and related nursing practices. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Assist in catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Administer IV insertion and manage medication administration as per protocols.
- Monitor patients for signs of infection or complications during and after procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with infectious diseases.
- Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care, pain management strategies, and recovery expectations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner regarding patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Participate in memory care initiatives for patients requiring specialized attention.
- Support inpatient care needs, including toddler care when necessary.
Experience
Candidates should have a valid nursing license and relevant experience in a catheterization lab or similar clinical setting. Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records is preferred. Experience in suture techniques, pain management, and infectious disease care will be considered an asset. A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices in nursing is essential for success in this role.
