What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Services Worker II - Child Protective Services position at Fayette County State of Ohio?
- Candidates will serve the public through the implementation of federal/state regulations and provide a wide range of casework services to children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive, document, and screen allegations of child abuse/neglect.
• Investigate and/or assess child abuse/neglect referrals.
• Maintain a caseload of families/children who require protective assistance.
• Provide adoption and post adoption services to children and families.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Receive and document allegations of child abuse/neglect and share with teammates in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
The employee must possess the skills and ability to cope with diverse environments, health hazards, and personal safety issues, including aggressive behaviors.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field.
• Possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability under the County's vehicle insurance policy.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
