We are seeking a highly skilled Electric SCADA / OMS / ADMS Systems Specialist to join our team. This role is vital for managing the operations associated with our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System, the Open Systems International (OSI) Monarch Outage Management System (OMS), and the OSI Electra Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). Summary of Responsibilities
As an Electric SCADA System Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and prioritizing activities related to SCADA system integration with OMS and ADMS, and with discrete I&Ds microprocessor / relays inside substations and at critical locations within the transmission and distribution system. You will assist in developing cyber security policies, monitor SCADA, OMS, and ADMS functions, develop displays, and perform SCADA linking activities for OMS and ADMS applications such as CVR / Volt / Var Optimization. Additionally, you will configure and monitor Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) activities for the Electric Division and integrate Smart Grid equipment and capabilities into the SCADA system. This role operates under the general supervision of the T / D Operations Center Supervisor, allowing for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Good knowledge of safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical system operations for transmission, distribution, and substation systems.
- Thorough knowledge of SCADA computer equipment and software.
- Good knowledge of OMS / ADMS applications.
- Skill in performing technical computations and making comprehensive recommendations to solve operational problems.
