Job Description
The W / R Facilities Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising the operations of one or more water or wastewater treatment plants. This position ensures compliance with regulatory standards, oversees plant operations, and leads teams to maintain operational excellence. The role requires on-call availability and extended hours as necessary to ensure the continuous and effective functioning of treatment facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze laboratory results and make necessary adjustments to plant operations.
- Maintain, prepare, and submit accurate records and reports in compliance with regulations.
- Identify, price, and requisition needed supplies, parts, and materials; maintain inventory levels.
- Inspect records and laboratory results to identify changes needed in chemical, biological, or mechanical processes.
- Review computerized systems to analyze trends, identify problems, and resolve anomalies.
- Supervise and schedule personnel to ensure 24-hour operations coverage.
- Tour the plants, inspect equipment, and monitor overall operational efficiency.
- Program and manage logic control systems for plant operations.
- Drive and operate vehicles as required for work assignments.
- Collaborate with the W / R Treatment Facilities Manager to plan, implement, and review operational processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
