Description of primary duties and responsibilities: |
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit: The Division of Facilities Management functions are to design, construct, maintain and operate the physical facilities of the University. The number one objective of the department is to provide and maintain facilities that will enhance and support the mission and academic goals of the University. Our approach is centered upon providing a superior level of customer service. The primary responsibility of the organizational unit is providing cleaning, sanitizing and floor care to campus housing and academic and administrative buildings. |
Description of Work Continued: | The Temporary Landscape Technician will perform the following duties at the main campus and existing properties at Fayetteville State University 1200 Murchison rd. Fayetteville NC, 28301. The Landscape Technician will have the following responsibilities: * Mowing grass, * Trimming grass, trimming shrubs and trees. * Performing various landscaping related duties. * Assist with planting flowers, bulbs, trees, shrubs. * Pavement and asphalt repairs. * Performs daily debris removal from university grounds. * Operates assigned equipment in the performance of duties. * Assists in the application of pesticides. * May be required to perform grounds maintenance duties without supervision. * Required to perform grounds tasks in all types of weather conditions. This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week. Weekly scheduled days and work hours will vary and may include weekends and evenings. Advance notice of schedules will be provided. This position requires a valid driver's license. Selected applicant must have and maintain an acceptable driving record, preferably five or more years of driving experience with no more than one minor at fault accident or violation in the past three years. |
