Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will oversee all aspects of our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory and distribution processes. This position requires a strong people leader with ownership of the shipping, spares, and warehouse teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage inbound shipments and optimize putaway processes to ensure the receiving dock is promptly cleared both physically and in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, IFS, thus minimizing pick times from the warehouse to the production line.
- Ensure inventory count accuracy through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Oversee order processing, picking, batch picking, task allocation, and routing of Transport Tasks (TTs) to optimize pick times and reduce delivery times to production lines.
- Oversee on-time delivery metrics, ensuring the timely completion of shop orders.
- Evaluate current and future warehouse technologies, including material handling automation and warehouse management systems.
- Support the testing and validation of IFS WM configurations, ensuring accurate and efficient warehouse management.
- Ensure compliance with International Shipping regulations on outbound shipments.
- Analyze data to identify gaps and develop plans to improve warehouse layouts, picking, and shipping operations.
- Partner with the continuous improvement team to implement lean through the warehouse and drive efficiency.
- Manage & lead Spares, Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse teams while planning workforce, managing performance, providing training, and addressing performance issues.
- Own responsibility for company vehicle maintenance and vehicle operators.
- Ensure training for equipment and safety is compliance with FBD safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in warehouse, including 2 years in a supervisor or manager role in a warehouse distribution center.
- Experience in narrow aisle/very narrow aisle racking setup and management preferred.
- Prior experience in optimized use of storage space based on product velocity and demand is required.
- Ability to effectively plan, set and manage multiple priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
- Demonstrate change management capabilities, including experience in the development of standard work, procedures, and training materials, as well as leading the training function.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive operational improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience navigating through ERP/purchasing software a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must have excellent communication skills because of daily contact with internal employees and suppliers.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and a reference check.
