As an HR Generalist, y ou will assist in ensur ing a smooth and efficient Manufacturing operation by provid ing employment support for Hourly Bargaining Unit employees to guarantee a great employee experience .
Responsibilities of this role:
Administer the hourly employment office functions and processes , assist with workforce analysis, deployment and people power management based on contractual obligations and corporate policies
Manage the day - to - day Employment window functions : leave tracking, reinstatements, general employee questions and support, records management, etc.
Implement the onboarding orientation sessions for the HBU workforce
Support the implementation and execution of our lean manufacturing methodology
Driv e a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiatives
Assist with the administration of the national and local collective bargaining agreements
Key experiences and know-how
The following prior experiences will be required for someone to be successful in this role:
Employme nt/ Labor Relations /Manufacturing experience
Utiliz e lean manufacturing tools in the context of employee development
Analy ze and u tilize data to make decisions
Experience with managing conflict and having difficult conversations
Demonstrated ability to be approachable, able to communicate with all levels of employees, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Proficient with Microsoft Suite
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong follow up, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
1 years of experience in Human Resources or related field
Able to interact with all levels of management and Union officials to accomplish goals
Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
