The industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and systems used in facilities. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and collaboration with other teams to uphold operational efficiency.
Equipment Maintenance
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, conveyor systems, crushers, grinders, and other
- equipment used in gel recycling.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner.
- Execute repairs to restore equipment to operational status, minimizing downtime.
- Welding and Fabricating:
- Utilizing welding and Fabrication skills for repair, modification, or fabrication of equipment components.
- Ensure all welding work meets safety and quality standards.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, ensuring that critical components are readily available.
- Coordinate with procurement to order parts as needed.
- Safety compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, actively promoting a culture of safety.
- Conduct safety inspections and address potential hazards.
- Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with production teams, mechanics, and other maintenance technicians to
- ensure smoother operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other relevant departments.
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary
