Position Summary

The Metal Sorting Laborer in gel recycling plays a crucial role in the efficient processing of recycling materials, specifically focusing on the identification, sorting, and handling of metals within the recycling facility. This role involves physical labor, attention to detail, and collaboration with team members to ensure the proper separation and recycling of metal components.

Material Sorting

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify and sort materials from incoming customers with recycled metals.
• Separate metals from other materials ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  
  

Material Handling

• Use hand tools or equipment to facilitate efficient movement or materials.
• Report any issues or deviations to supervisors.
  
  

Safety Compliance

• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with other team members, including machine operators and supervisors, to achieve daily production goals.
• Communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and address any challenges.
  
  

Education

Job Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
  
  

Experience And Competencies

• Experience with Metal type classes Preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work on your feet for prolonged time.
