What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Sorter position at GEL LLC?
Description
We are looking for a Material Sorter to help organize and maintain our inventory. Material Handlers are integral plant warehouse workers. Material handler duties revolve around processing and sorting incoming recyclable materials such as paper, plastic, metals and other recyclable materials. You should have great attention to detail to maintain accurate sorting. Some physical strength is required since you may often need to lift material by hand.
Requirements
If you’re reliable and fast on your feet, we’d like to meet you. Other duties include but not limited to:
- Sorts/segregates recoverable materials (i.e., aluminum, plastic, glass, paper, etc.) from stream
- Sorts recyclables from conveyor belt and deposits materials into appropriate chute.
- Keeps work area clean and free of debris by sweeping, raking, hand picking or wiping down area.
- Performs all job-related duties in a safe manor in accordance with company safety rules and policies
Schedule: Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays
