Material Handling
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sort recycling materials from conveyor belts, or processing equipment.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
- Collaborate with machine operators to ensure the smooth operation of processing equipment.
- Follow instructions to support the processing of recycled material.
- Maintain basic records or material movements and activities as required.
- Report any issues, incidents, or observations to supervisors.
- Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment,
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily production goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to address any challenges or concerns.
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Garbage/Recycling experience preferred
- Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
