This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, timely processing of warranty claims, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers. Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee the inventory of all parts and products, ensuring that stock levels are maintained to meet demand.
- Ensure regular inventory audits and reconciliations for accuracy and reduce discrepancies, at all locations.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss, theft, or damage.
- Manage the ordering, receiving, and stocking of parts processes, working closely with suppliers to maintain optimal levels.
- Oversee the processing and tracking of warranty claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve warranty issues efficiently.
- Ensure the review and approval of warranty claims based on company policies and manufacturer guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with parts suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate warranty terms and conditions with suppliers and manufacturers to maximize benefits for the company and customers.
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, warranty claims, and associated costs.
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, warranty claims, and related expenses for management review.
- Analyze warranty trends and inventory data to recommend improvements in processes and cost-saving opportunities.
- Train, supervise, and support inventory and warranty team members, ensuring that they are following best practices and maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Work closely with the internal customer team to resolve any parts or warranty-related issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Continuously assess and improve inventory management and warranty handling processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Proven experience in parts inventory management, warranty handling, or a similar role, ideally in a refuse, automotive, or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong understanding of parts inventory systems, warranty processes, and supply chain management.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and warranty terms.
