JOB DESCRIPTION FOX Corporation is seeking an experienced Risk Management Associate Director to support the Company’s Workers' Compensation claims program on a company and nation-wide basis. This position reports to the Vice President, Risk Management. The Associate Director, Risk Management supports the workers' compensation claims program for all of FOX Corporation, including the Studio Lot, FOX News, FOX Television Stations, FOX Sports and various productions and/or exposures that arise as the Company grows. The Associate Director will collaborate with and oversee Fox’s third-party claims administrator (TPA), as well as any other vendors that support the workers' compensation claims process. The position will facilitate and manage the entire claims process. This includes, but is not limited to, active communication with the injured worker, supervisors, Human Resources, Environmental Health & Safety, Legal, and Labor relations regarding claim benefits, work status, temporary and permanent work restrictions, and litigation. This individual will work directly with the dept on claim mitigation, strategy, and settlement and will provide technical resources, guidance, and education to relevant internal and external parties to manage claims to the appropriate outcome. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Receive all workers' compensation incidents and claims, set up in Risk Management’s RMIS system and report to the TPA New claim intake may include investigation, procuring wage statements, job descriptions and working with multiple departments concerning injured worker’s treatment and return to work status Evaluate and monitor medical treatment received and prescribed to ensure appropriate level of care Manage TPA and monitor each claim to ensure it moves towards a timely and cost-effective resolution and raise issues to the VP of Risk Management and Associate Director, as needed Analyze and approve reserving and settlement amounts Prepare for and attend depositions and/or trials, as needed Set up and maintain organized claim files, which includes saving and cataloging all relevant claim data (i.e., first reports, doctors’ notes, communications with the relevant internal and external departments, etc.) Maintain and update as needed, all internal claim reporting documents and notices including, but is not limited to, claims reporting workflows, workers' compensation posting notices, medical providers listings, service vendors, and panel counsel. Coordinate with appropriate internal departments to ensure that correct WC information is being conveyed to new employees and that written protocols for handling injuries are at each site and location, with correct contact numbers Utilize RMIS system to produce monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for the Risk Management and Environmental Health & Safety Department Present key issues, such as significant changes in claim strategy, potential exposures and loss trends to VP of Risk Management and Associate Director for evaluation Prepare for and participate in quarterly claims reviews and annual stewardship meetings WHAT YOU WILL NEED 10 years of WC claim adjusting experience or equivalent combination of experience and education Bachelor's degree Understanding of Workers Compensation terminology, including medical reports Excellent understanding of Workers’ Compensation laws in California and New York Excellent organizational skills Ability to effectively communicate with discretion and present information, both written and verbal Ability to think creatively, develop and execute business strategy, lead change, and drive results Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service ethics and professional demeanor Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER WCCP, AIC or similar designations CPCU, ARM or similar designations Risk Management Information Systems and/or Salesforce experience Media/Entertainment experience Proficiency Of Workers' Compensation laws in other jurisdictions Multi-state experience working with union and non-union employees #LI-DNI We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $95,000.00-160,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
