FCS is seeking a dedicated, personable, hands-on Controller who would like an opportunity to impact a small, rural manufacturing business that ships product nationwide. Successful candidates must be confident with accounting functions and systems, experienced in strategic planning and implementing financial controls. The Controller will interact with customers, staff, lead the accounting team and reports to the President of FCS.  

Responsibilities

·        follow GAAP Standards by performing GL reconciliations

·        Accounts Receivable

·        Accounts Payable

·        responsible for completion of month-end closing duties

·        key performance indicators such as receivables less than 5% over due

·        reconcile checking account bank statements at end of the month

·        payroll: quarterly report filing

·        monthly sales tax

·        annual budgeting and forecasting

·        leading the accounting team and developing the team for growth

·        year end inventory

·        company insurance

·        in-depth financial analysis of proposed equipment expenditures and ROI

·        strategic planning for business growth and cost savings

·        prepare, analyze and share financial reports for company leadership team

·        participate on the FCS leadership team

Qualifications:

·        excited to be part of a team in a small business that is growing

·        demonstrates responsibility by follow through on tasks and communication

·        Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting or Finance

·        10 plus years accounting experience 

Qualifications continued…

·        demonstrate strong Microsoft office skills

·        experience with accounting software, Sage, QuickBooks, etc.  

·        experience helping develop accounting systems

·        able to work with an outside CPA for tax purposes

·        experience with contract terms and negotiations

Starting yearly salary is highly competitive for this full-time position. Total compensation may increase with eligibility for various bonuses and experience will be taken into consideration.
