The Opportunity :
FE International is looking for a senior investment banker (the "Senior Banker") to originate and execute new transactions for new clients that utilize the firm's broad array of strategic and financial advisory services. The Senior Banker should be a Managing Director, or Director on the cusp of promotion to Managing Director, and will have an established cadre of client relationships across industries and geographically, hailing from private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, corporations, family offices, and entrepreneur / individuals. The Senior Banker must be expert at the execution of merger, acquisition, and sale transactions, along with private debt and equity capital raising.
The Senior Banker will be responsible for gathering, analysing, and documenting information from potential new clients necessary for the firm to provide a new business presentation (pitch) to advise the client in a proposed transaction involving one or more of its businesses. The Senior Banker will use his broad and deep relationships and networks of clients to prioritize those clients who are best suited and most likely to retain FE International as their strategic and financial advisor.
The Senior Banker will collect and review relevant strategic and financial information, ask relevant questions to the client and work collaboratively with other teams within FE International to provide the client with a compelling and accurate new business presentation for a proposed transaction, and if FE International is engaged, lead the execution of that proposed transaction on behalf of the client. Good communication is key to the Senior Banker role with FE International's clients being based all around the world and coming from a variety of backgrounds with different motivations for seeking a transaction for their business.
Responsibilities :
- Soliciting potential new advisory business from the Senior Banker's existing network of relationships across private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, corporations, family offices, and entrepreneur / individuals;
- Gathering information about a business from potential clients;
- Reviewing documentation provided by clients with expert analysis of financials, metrics and operations required;
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and other internal teams within FE International to prepare and present analyses and presentations designed to prompt the client to retain FE International for a proposed transaction;
- Assisting in the creation of marketing materials to help the client understand FE products, services, qualifications, areas of expertise, and processes;
- Assisting in the preparation of basic legal documents for the onboarding process;
- Helping to identify potential new clients not already a relationship with the Senior Banker within FE International's existing database of clients and elsewhere;
- Leading the execution of merger, acquisition and sale transactions, along with private debt and equity capital placements;
- Advising clients on the strategy, tactics, and mechanics of strategic and financial transactions;
- On behalf of the client, spearhead the negotiation of optimal terms and conditions for a proposed transaction; and
- Provide all other advise and assistance required by the client in the context of a transaction.
