Pay Rate: $75,000 - $85,000 per year plus 5% annual bonus potential
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm
Position Summary:
The Human Resource Manager of Manufacturing will oversee and manage all human resources activities within our manufacturing facility. This role will bridge management and employee relations and will be responsible for supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, and preservation of the workforce. The HR Manager will develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, and procedures across the plant that reflect the business objectives of the organization. This position will be expected to provide guidance and support to plant management and employees on HR-related matters while maintaining legal compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers and plant locations.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning at plant location.
- Identifies training needs for plants and individual executive coaching needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Paycom experience preferred
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and labor relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
