We're hiring a Mail Clerk in NYC Midtown Manhattan!
Compensation is $16.50 per hour.
Summary
The Mail Clerk will report to the Print & Mail Fulfillment Services Manager and assist in the day-to-day operations of Print Production & Mail Fulfillment Services.
Services include mail pick-up and delivery at specified mail stations within the five boroughs and processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
What You'll Do
Operate copy machines
Process mail / packages received from couriers.
Sort mail and label accountable mail (USPS, UPS, FedEx)
Deliver mail to designated mail floors using the elevator or stairs and to the Post Office as requested.
Filing, folding, collating, and stuffing of envelopes for mass mailing jobs.
Metering of letters flats and parcels for outgoing shipments.
Scan and rename documents on a shared drive folder
Maintain Excel spreadsheets with Data entry.
Sending Emails, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Office 365 SharePoint, and Adobe.
Answering telephones and directing / routing calls
Standing and walking and climbing stairs.
You're a Great Fit If You Have
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years in a mailroom environment or similar setting
General knowledge or be capable of being trained in mailroom operations.
Experience with or capable of operating or being trained to operate Mail Meters and UPS shipment stations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
The physical ability to stand, squat, and lift 35 pounds.
Strong communication skills including reading, writing, and verbal
