What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Administrator II position at Federal Home Loan Bank of New York?
The primary focus is to minimize risk and protect critical information and systems by configuring security controls.
Work independently to help fulfill the essential functions of the Systems & Support Services department that include the following operations :
- Generally, manage all user ids, access permissions, and other security components on all servers and for all applications whether internal or external to the Bank.
- Must exercise Independent judgment and assess potential risk in granting access and assigning permissions with both internal and external users.
- Keep up to date on Security Administration for all Bank applications.
- Provide user support for all network and application security issues
- Provide ad-hoc and periodic reports to users, auditors, and examiners showing user data access and transaction privileges.
- Review security logs and reports to determine access violations as assigned.
- Determine validity of violations for assigned applications, like 1Link Banking, and bring actionable violations to the attention of a higher level administrator.
- Perform security related projects as requested by the Senior Manager, Systems & Support Services; learn to use discretionary judgment in determining method of satisfying requests, as needed.
- Maintain security devices (e.g. RSA, smartcards, and digital certificates) and handle related support issues for Bank customers and internal staff.
