We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead site HR operations for a machining and assembly manufacturing business for our facility located in West Bend, WI. We are seeking a well-rounded HR leader who has built a solid reputation as the “go to” valued HR business advisor with his/her assigned stakeholder client groups. This is a leadership position where you will have the freedom to drive organizational and people strategies, monitor business performance with an emphasis on people-related metrics and trends, and deliver Human Resources solutions that are timely and which effectively address business issues and needs.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides leadership support to site management in areas of coaching business partners to create and maintain a work environment with high engagement and productivity, drives hiring at the site to achieve business goals, leads the implementation of HR policies at the site level.
- Effectively partner with the leadership to administer employee relations.
- Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding Human Resources.
- Oversee and manage HR policies, programs and practices to support site goals.
- Manage organizational design and effectiveness, recruiting, performance management and competency development initiatives for the site.
- Champion and lead several of the HR continuous improvement efforts for the site.
- Lead the development and analysis of key HR metrics for the organization.
- Risk management through regulatory compliance and good governance.
Reports to: Site GM
Ideal Candidate:
- 5-10 years of HR experience with a strong background in health and safety compliance, ideally in manufacturing
- Experience with talent acquisition, employee development, team engagement and performance management
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience working in union and non-union environments
- Experience with HRIS and safety management software
