Description
Federated Co-ops Inc. is looking to hire a friendly full-time Counter Sales person at our Ogilvie Ag Center location. The Counter Sales person will assist customers of the Agronomy Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Counter Sales person include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Answer customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
- Check out customers at the register by accepting payment and making change.
- Carry merchandise and feed bags to customer vehicles.
- Complete general housekeeping duties.
- Report complaints, concerns, or questions to store management.
- Answer phone, address customer questions and take their orders.
- Fill propane cylinders.
- Perform customer billing of products and services.
- Operate forklift.
Qualifications
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Good problem solving, organization and communication skills.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends during peak season.
- Driver's License (preferred)
- Uses equipment in a safe manner.
- Ability to learn multiple software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education/Experience:
- 1 - 3 years customer service (preferred)

The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
