Propane Driver / Agronomy Support

Federated Co-ops is looking for someone who likes to stay busy year round working as a split position between two divisions. We are hiring for a Propane Driver / Ag Support Split position. As a propane driver, you will work out of our Mora location and will be delivering fuel to our patrons in a safe and efficient manner during the busy winter season. The right candidate will drive tank truck to deliver liquefied petroleum (LP) gas to customers. Deliver and install propane tanks at customers location. Install, repair, and service gas systems at customers locations by performing the following duties. When not working as a Seasonal Propane Driver role, this position will work in a technical sales and training role as needed as well as provide support to our Agronomy division. Support to our Agronomy Division may include working out of our Isanti Country Store or Rush City Ag Center location. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Delivery of product involves loading propane into the bulk truck and delivering into customers’ storage tanks in accordance to company, division, and location policy and procedures.
• Drives and operates trucks, vehicles, equipment and tools safely and efficiently by following all current D.O.T. regulations, company policies, manufactures instructions, State and local laws and codes, and any other applicable laws, codes or regulations.
• Tank Setting, Leak Testing, Tank Management and Repairs for LP gas systems as required by NFPA codes and regulations.
• Assist Sales Department with calls and potential sales target areas.
• Maintains and paints LP gas tanks at company and customer locations.
• Inspect and maintain bulk facility, bulk truck and equipment continuously to ensure cleanliness, safety, proper operation and positive cooperative image.
• Documents all work as required by company, division, and location policy.
• Available and able to work on-call weeknights and weekends.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Previous Propane and CDL experience is preferred
• Must have a valid Driver's license.
• Active CDL with endorsements preferred
• Able to obtain a Class B CDL License with Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brakes Endorsements.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move more than 75 pounds.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee will manually dig trenches to install LP gas lines. Employee will lift and carry cement blocks.

The wage range for this position is $21 - $31. The actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
