We are looking for a dynamic Program Coordinator to support all aspects of our organization. This position offers significant opportunities for growth, and you will work closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, member societies, and individual scientists.
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint), Google Suite, Canva or Adobe InDesign
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Independent work style, including self-training and learning software platforms/systems
Preferred Experience:
- 1-2 years in an office environment
- Familiarity with website content management (WordPress or similar CMS a plus)
- Newsletter editing experience (iContact or similar program a plus)
- Knowledge of psychological sciences and/or public policy
- Experience in non-profit administration
Key Job Functions
Communications:
- Construct biweekly newsletter with opportunities for member contributions and weekly Friday Features announcements
- Manage updates to the FABBS website and social media accounts
- Provide technical support for virtual webinars-
- Oversee the process for nominating, approving, and disseminating FABBS Early Career Impact Awards, Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Awards, and Student Awards
- Provide editorial assistance for the FABBS journal Policy Insights from the Behavioral and Brain Sciences (PIBBS)
Non-Profit Management:
- Support organization financials (itemizing expenses and deposits according to account codes)
- Assist in planning for the Annual Meeting
- Participate in Board and Council calls
- Provide administrative support for FABBS member Academy of Behavioral Medicine Research (ABMR)
- Assist with National Science Foundation advocacy efforts
Other Information: This is a full-time position with the opportunity for remote work. Compensation is commensurate with experience. FABBS offers health insurance and retirement benefits.
