Supply Chain Quality Manager

General Description

MUST BE COMMUTABLE TO WILTON, CT- HYBRID 2 Days in office

This position will be responsible for evaluating and reporting adherence to product quality standards for manufactured products. This will include testing and recording production samples, reviewing Certificates of Analysis, maintaining data associated with quality requirements, and managing processes to address non-conforming products and materials.

Responsibilities:

• Tracks & maintains records of retain and production samples from receipt to release disposition
• Assists in evaluation of production & retain samples, performs tests to determine if samples meet all aspects of product efficacy and packaging specifications.
• Supports & documents review of Certificates of Analysis (CoA’s)
• Leads processes driving actions to address non-conforming products and materials, including managing intake of complaints and products found to be out of specification
• Develops written & physical standards as necessary
• Develop ways of working to ensure effective & efficient product release processes
• Maintain product attributes on Global Data Sheet and associated reporting tools for MSDS, Product attributes, DIMS etc.
• Supports Operations teams with other non-Quality related topics as necessary
• Supports Packaging and Product Development activities as required

Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience in technical aspects of hair care industry is a must
• Supplier quality experience preferred, either Quality, R&D or Process Engineering
• Some experience with laboratory instruments preferred but not required
• Experience with driving non-conformance reports and Corrective Actions/Preventative Actions reporting

Requirements:

• Experience in cosmetic consumer products a must
• Very organized in documentation & record keeping
• Strong written & verbal communication to cross-functional groups, escalates as needed
• Critical evaluator with highest standards
• Minimal travel required on an as-needed basi

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant industry, Operations or Sciences preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk and sit, communicate with others, access office equipment and move items weighing up to 20 pounds if needed.
