Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Brewing Team Member to support daily brewing, cellaring, and transferring operations. This role includes cleaning brewing equipment and workspaces, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to the brewing team's success. Performance is measured through established protocols and regular reviews.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, punctual, and enjoys collaborating in a team environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.
Schedule : Friday to Monday, 8 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PM (4x10s)
General Duties / Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by :
Completing annual chemical training and following proper handling procedures.
Performing daily and deep cleaning of equipment, floors, and drains.
Following all PPE requirements and safety policies.
Reporting incidents and near misses to the supervisor.
Perform brewing-related tasks such as :
Following Clean in Place (CIP) procedures to clean and sanitize tanks, pumps, and filtration systems.
Verifying equipment cleanliness through swabbing, titration, or standard tests.
Assisting in filtering and finishing starter for base brews.
Changing filtration pads and socks per SOPs.
Injecting flavors into brite tanks and ensuring carbonation systems are set properly.
Accurately entering data into spreadsheets, checklists, and logs.
Organizing tools and maintaining brewing equipment.
Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.
Monitoring Koelschip fermentation and managing transfers and cleaning processes.
Participating in brewery projects and assisting in various brewing or flavoring duties as needed.
Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities
Follow GMP policies and encourage compliance among team members.
Adhere to SQF policies regarding pest control, visitor management, allergen handling, and sanitation.
Support food safety and quality efforts and report concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Required Skills / Abilities
Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
High cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Proficiency in spreadsheet and data entry.
Awareness of workplace safety precautions.
Effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing schedules.
Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
Flexibility to work variable schedules as needed.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum one year of experience in brewing, kitchen prep, or batch mixing preferred.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
30-minute unpaid lunch; two 15-minute paid breaks.
Standing and walking for prolonged periods.
Frequent bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, and working on uneven surfaces.
Exposure to hot, cold, and wet conditions.
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 65 pounds regularly.
