Overview:
Join our team as Program Manager and support the Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Environment, Health Safety and Security (EHSS) office by managing a contract providing classification support services.

Work Schedule and Location:
On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the DOE Germantown, MD office.
Responsibilities:
  • Manages overall contractual effort to ensure responsiveness to the OC requirements.
  • Individual interfaces between OC management and corporate staff.
  • Individual directs contractor workflow in all task areas through the Task Area Manager (TAMs).
  • Serves as point of contact between the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and OC management on administrative aspects of all work-related issues within the specified program
  • Individual ensures overall responsiveness of contractor staff to all OC requirements, job requests, and guidance provided by the Task Area Manager (TAM) and the COR and/or designated representative.
  • Closely works with the Director of each Office to ensure the alignment of resources supports the priorities of each Office.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in such fields as one of the engineering disciplines or in public or business administration.
  • Individual must have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in project management (projects of comparable size and complexity). This experience may be a combination of private sector, civil service, and/or military experience.
  • Individual must have demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Desired:

  • A Master of Business Administration Degree is highly desirable.
  • It is highly desirable for the individual to have direct and current experience in nuclear policy analysis, the nuclear weapon programs at DOE and/or DoD, and classification and sensitive information related activities.
