Overview
FedWriters is building a team to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division in providing technical data packages and other services for Naval Ship Hull, Mechanical and Electrical Technical Manual development, maintenance and management. As a Technical Editor Supervisor you will manage technical writers and editorial staff, perform quality assurance reviews on technical manuals, ensure compliance with NAVSEA standards, and develop/edit Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals for Naval systems while maintaining quality control throughout the documentation lifecycle.

Work Schedule and Location:
On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 6am to 6pm at NSWCPD in Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage Technical Writers and Editorial staff.
- Perform technical and format compliance reviews of Technical Manuals.
- Ensure quality control and NAVSEA Technical Manual Management Program (TMMP) compliance.
- Perform QA reviews on assigned projects using NSWCPD provided checklist criteria.
- Track all updates from assignment through distribution and alert NSWCPD to any outstanding or non-compliant projects.
- Develop and/or edit IETMs and digitally formatted TMs for Naval Ship Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems.
- Ensure adherence to NAVSEA Technical Specification 9090-310 (series) and NAVSEA Standard Items.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Ten (10) years of experience as a Technical Editor to include management, budgeting, scheduling, planning, estimating, customer support, and product delivery.
- Requires Secret level security clearance.
- Experience with developing, modifying, and reviewing Naval shipboard technical documentation and U.S. Navy Technical Manuals.
