A well-respected MEP firm based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer. This company provides a comprehensive array of services to its clients from detailed engineering and design to construction management services. The firm, which has a staff of Engineers and Construction professionals, covers all of the major disciplines but most of the projects include Mechanical, HVAC, Fire Protection, Structural, Electrical, Chemical / Process and Controls. They serve a significant majority of the public sector as well as private clients in the power, institutional, manufacturing, material handling, healthcare and Pharmaceutical Industries. The successful candidate must be a quality oriented individual able to perform a wide range of structural analyses and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment and piping supports, and foundations; investigations / assessments of facilities; specification preparation; project and construction cost estimates; project scheduling for engineering projects. Candidates must be able to establish and develop long-term client relationships both in the Public and Private sectors.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor (BS) or Master (MS) Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- P.E. license with 10 years experience in structural engineering
- Knowledge of all applicable codes building steel and reinforced concrete
- Experience with structural design including analysis for structural supports, loads, and design integrity of existing structures
- Must have Building Information Modeling using REVIT
- Experience with renewable energy projects
- LEED Certification or Certified Energy Auditor / Manager a plus
- Commissioning and verification experience a plus
- Leadership qualities are a must
- Must be willing to travel from time-to-time (no longer than 1 week)
