Is this role right for you?
The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for overseeing the planning and optimization of the supply network, including raw materials and packaging, to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.
This role reports to the VP of Supply Chain and will execute strategic planning, lead implementation initiatives and continuous improvement to drive cost improvements throughout the supply network.
Key Responsibilities
o Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize the flow of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business goals
o Drive the S&OP process to measure, analyze & communicate key metrics, presenting findings on a monthly cycle to drive decision-making at the executive level
o Lead the continuous improvement of current co-manufacturer and supplier inventory flow to protect service levels and meet demand
o Establish and maintain inventory policies that drive purchasing, planning & inventory management at the tactical level while supporting operational/strategic plans
o Lead cost saving opportunities, identify cost reductions on both internally and externally controlled packaging and ingredients
o Improves upon the current materials management processes to reduce stock-outs through strategic purchasing initiatives. Manages raw material purchasing, inventory levels, and supplier relationships
o Lead end-to-end packaging development/standardization process, aiming to create a positive cost-impact through streamlined packaging development
o Work collaboratively with other departments such as sales, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment and support for supply chain initiatives
Qualifications & Competencies
- 7 years of experience in supply planning, material resource planning, supply chain planning, inventory management and/or financial planning and analysis
- Prior experience utilizing ERP/MRP and planning software with implementation experience as a bonus. Experience with Optimity, Netsuite/SAP desirable
- Extensive knowledge of CPG supply chain flow, particularly within the food and beverage sector
- Prior experience managing day-to-day relationships with Co-manufacturers/3PL partners
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the organization
- Adaptable, flexible, and capable of effectively managing competing priorities
- Team player comfortable in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Analytical thinker and self-motivated problem solver
- APICs certification a plus
The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 per year. Additional compensation includes discretionary annual bonus based on performance and participation in Feel Good Foods equity through automatic annual vesting stock options.
