SUMMARY:
Supervises shift employees on the production floor and complies with all safety, quality and housekeeping standards. Ensures shift meets inventory requirements and product is delivered in a timely manner. Manages and mentors employees in order to maintain motivation, teamwork and continuous improvement. Reports production-related issues and repairs them in a timely manner and makes recommendations for corrective actions pertaining to production problems.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for consistent and accurate shift to shift communication.
- Ensures production line start up/shut down is completed.
- Ensures employees are following standard operating procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment; ensuring that all safety instructions are followed.
- Continuously monitor product quality.
- Inspects parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Identifies nonconforming material and properly disposes of the material.
- Prepares and conducts performance reviews.
- Ensures employees are trained to perform various job tasks.
- Reviews and works with employees to set common goals and gives them direction needed to help assist them in meeting their goals.
- Knowledge n SAP Conduct audits andassessments to identify potential areas of risk nd develops mitigation strategies. Understands and maintains audit compliance as it relates to the Production Supervisor function. This would include: IATF 16949, ISO, and TISAX.
- Follows all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company. Ensures safety practices and a safety-first mindset among coworkers.
- Completes end of shift paperwork.
- Additional duties as needed and assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise 30-50 production employees
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Employee must have working knowledge of manufacturing. The individual will be responsible for leading production systems, overseeing the continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and executing long-term strategic plans. Must be self-motivated and possess well-developed leadership skills.
Minimum Requirement:
- High School Education and one to five (1 to 5) years of progressive manufacturing experience and proven success in supervision
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) or five to ten (5-10) years of progressive manufacturing experience and proven success in supervision
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets basic instructions and required documents. Has the ability to respond and communicate complicated instruction and basic directions.
- Ability to write work instructions and other procedures as needed.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic mathematics.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to solve problems as they arise.

- Possible release agent material, anti-squeal and dust particle exposure in the environment.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Traveling from plant to plant (Fehrer, Supplier, Customer), including international travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal amount of sitting and standing, above average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.
- Works with the CEO, Plant Manager, Program Manager, Quality Manager, Process Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Production Manager, Line Leads, line personnel and quality staff.
