Feinberg Medical Group (FMG) is looking for a dynamic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in our office-based workers’ compensation rehabilitation focused pain management practice in Palo Alto. The emphasis at FMG is about helping injured workers regain function, better manage their pain, and return to gainful employment. We focus on treating the whole person in a multi-disciplinary approach.
This position requires a commitment to quality patient care and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. FMG has a well-respected functional restoration program, and you will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, a physical therapist, athletic trainer, and a psychologist.
All are encouraged to apply. Preferred candidates will have:
· Prior experience in orthopedics, musculoskeletal medicine, or pain management
· Prior experience in workers’ compensation
Job Duties include:
· Perform new consults and follow-up visits under the supervision of a physician
· Formulate diagnoses, prescribe medications, administer in-office injections, perform physical examinations, recommend and manage treatment of work-related and other injuries
· Communicating with stakeholders including claims adjusters, nurse case managers and attorneys
· No call or weekend hours required!
· Opportunity for limited remote work after demonstrating clinical competency
