Solutions Developer
Primary Job Responsibilities
The primary focus of this position is to perform consulting services for Feith clients by building and configuring business process solutions that utilize the Feith software suite. The developer will work in collaboration with Feith project managers to determine customers business requirements and design a solution that maximizes the suite’s capabilities to meet the customer’s expectations. The developer will work with project managers to document customer requirements and supply estimation of development effort needed to provide the solution. The developer will work in concert with the engineering and support departments to create, test and implement maintainable solutions that are consistent with the direction of the product suite. Developers have the opportunity to create solutions that become part of the Feith product suite.
Technical Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery to gather and document customer business requirements
- Design and document solutions that utilize the Feith software suite to meet identified business requirements
- Provide Quality Assurance of developed solutions as well as solutions created by other developers on the team
- Identify and alert management of changes to initial solution design from either customer requests or during the development process
- Support client meetings
- Present current baseline technical capabilities of the Feith software suite to clients, and actively participate in defining technical approaches to solving client’s business needs
- Work closely with engineering and support to create maintainable solutions, communicate customer use cases and identify improvements to the software that could enhance the product or increase the velocity of developing customer solutions in the future
- Provide technical and customer support for developed solutions as well as solutions created by other developers on the team
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or another related field (preferred)
- Or Coding Bootcamp and 4 years of experience in the ITS industry
- Or 6 years of experience in the ITS industry
Experience Requirements
- 3 years of experience in the ITS industry
- Experience working the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Business analysis experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Intermediate level proficiency with web services, web technology mark-up and scripting languages such as HTML, XML, and JavaScript
- Intermediate level proficiency with database scripting language (SQL).
- Thorough understanding of enterprise software architecture, internet technologies, IT systems and infrastructure
- Experience implementing system and data integrations
- Knowledge of version control repositories, distributed (preferred), git (preferred), BitBucket (plus)
- Experience with issue and project tracking software, Atlassian JIRA (plus)
- Experience with Wiki tools, Atlassian Confluence (plus)
- Expertise with JavaScript libraries such JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap
