Description
Material Handler – Lineside Support is responsible for bringing completed kits from warehouses and staging areas to the trailer lines in need of the kits. Provides beams, crossmembers, and other components the kits won’t provide. Responsible for issuing all weldments or piece parts that are brought by the Material Handler.
Essential Specific Job Duties:
1. Completes daily forklift inspection check sheet and turns in weekly.
2. Understand how to identify the location of the kit in Shop Floor Data Collection (GSS).
3. Issue parts and weldments to the trailer work order at the time of drop off.
4. Ensure inventory is accurate upon drop off to work areas.
5. Provide correct child work order components to the parent work order.
6. Identify that kit was brought into work centers via Open Work Orders (GSS).
7. Transport trailers around the facility.
8. Oversees the day-to-day activities of his/her assigned area.
9. Reports to the Material Handling Supervisor any matters that may require immediate attention.
10. Recommends and assists in implementing measures to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
11. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
12. Adheres to quality standards at all times.
13. Adheres to safety standards at all times.
