What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Clerk position at Fellowship Hall?
Under general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, our Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining financial records by accurately recording transactions, processing invoices and payments, reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the proper filing of accounting documents, requiring strong attention to detail and proficiency with accounting software.
Part-time 20 hours per week (on-site or hybrid)
High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- Experience with entering/posting journal entries into general ledger
- Proficiency required with Microsoft Office, Intermediate Excel skills required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Attention to detail
Tasks:
- Daily cash reporting
- Daily cash disbursement reporting
- Journal entry preparation and entry
- Sales and tax reporting
- Unclaimed property reporting
- Bank account reconciliations
- Fixed Asset Reporting
- Accounts Payable backup
- Investigate discrepancies in general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
- Assistance with all financial reporting
Requirements
