Overview
We are looking for passionate and skilled Cooks to join our team and help provide nutritious, delicious meals to our residents in a warm and homelike setting. We have full time and part time positions available.
As a Cook at Fellowship Square Tucson, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. You will work closely with our team to ensure a positive dining experience, promote nutritional well-being, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans and resident dietary requirements.
- Ensure food is prepared in accordance with health and safety guidelines, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
- Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration residents' dietary preferences, allergies, and medical needs.
- Ensure timely meal service for residents, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Assist with inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen stock levels.
- Work collaboratively with the dietary team, dining staff, and management to ensure smooth meal service.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and utensils.
- Adhere to safety and health regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Must hold a current Arizona Food Handlers Sanitation card.
- Have at least two years in institutional cooking.
- Course in food production, sanitation, and safety preferred.
- Vocational or technical education desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Must understand, speak, read, and write fluent English.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
