Major Duties :
- In this Public Affairs Specialist position, you will report to the Training and Exercise Lead and perform duties related to Emergency Support Function (ESF 15) capabilities associated with the planning and implementation of exercises to better support the Office of External Affairs. Typical assignments include :
- Serving as an expert strategist and project coordinator on critical activities associated with the implementation and execution of communication initiatives and activities on behalf of ESF 15.
- Assisting in leading a collaborative process for the planning, delivery and evaluation of the National Level Exercise including coordination with Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and territorial (SLTT) jurisdictions.
- Building partnerships among organizations to facilitate working across boundaries, groups, and organizations.
- Participating in senior-level and large stakeholder planning meetings / events representing ESF 15 professionally and tactfully, and by negotiating among parties towards effective solutions.
- Serving as a spokesperson on behalf of ESF 15 at meetings, committees, and working groups including in a virtual or hybrid environment.
