Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement process to ensure the efficient acquisition of goods and services. If you have a strong background in sourcing, procurement or any related field involving raw materials, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that may arise
• Utilize MRP systems for inventory planning and management
• Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other relevant regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Biochemistry or related field preferred
• 5-6 years experience in bulk materials sourcing, materials management, procurement, or related field
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, pricing negotiation, and supplier management
• Familiarity with MRP systems and other procurement tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Experience in food and nutrition industry is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

• Sourcing: 5 years (Required)
