The Expense Management and Strategic Sourcing team is responsible for effectively managing Nasdaq’s external spend, while continuously seeking areas of opportunity to create cost efficiencies throughout the firm. In addition, this team’s mission is to offer comprehensive spend transparency through innovative analytics. The team utilizes this data to optimize expenses through the application of traditional and non-traditional cost reduction strategies.
Your role will primarily be responsible for both leading and supporting Nasdaq's Telecom Expense Management (TEM) platform from a financial & inventory/demand management perspective. Within the TEM platform, this resource will manage Nasdaq's telecom, connectivity, and mobility spend globally. Additionally, this role will have a focus on special projects and expense management activities across all categories of spend within the firm, including, but not limited to, Technology, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Market Data. Ideal candidates are required to possess a strong background in Telecom sourcing & negotiation, expense management, communications (PowerPoint), and analytics (Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.). This role will also benefit from experience in sourcing, project and change management. This role will include exposure to senior management.

Responsibilities:
- Supports the management and administration of Nasdaq’s Telecom agreements and inventory (Telecom Expense Management platform)
- Analyzes internal telecom/connectivity/mobility spend to identify savings opportunities and purchasing strategies
- Participates in both internal and external projects that are broad in scope and closely tied to organizational strategy
- Identifies, establishes, and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers internally and externally
- Contributes to the improvement and development of strategic, operational, and tactical processes to achieve the most cost effective and efficient market data sourcing practices
- Coordinates discussions and reviews with various internal and external stakeholders
- Assists competitive bid evaluations and provides recommendations based on thorough analysis
- Creates executive summary presentations for senior management review
- Education Requirements: Degree qualified in relevant discipline or equivalent working experience
- Experience Requirements: 3 to 5 years of experience in relevant discipline
- Communication Requirements: Comfortable presenting to senior leadership using Microsoft PowerPoint
- Analytics Requirements: Ability to quickly prioritize reporting requests and articulate the results using Microsoft Excel or other reporting tools
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong skills in both verbal and written communication
- Skills in problem identification, analysis, and resolution
- Must be adaptable and flexible
