Job brief:
- Work together with maintenance team to support efforts in making sure employer property such as buildings and grounds, are kept up.
- Identify areas for improvement and offer potential solutions to address those areas.
- Follow defined maintenance schedules to contribute to a proactive maintenance team.
- Respond to emergency breakdown calls for maintenance.
- Perform troubleshooting to solve minor and major machine issues.
- Contact and schedule third party repairmen and extra help as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks as required such as; inputting work orders in CMMS system for historical data tracking for future review.
Responsibilities:

- Assist third party tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
- Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Steel Processing Experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy loads, physical agility, manual dexterity. Experience in maintenance is required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 year’s relevant experience in maintenance.
- Knowledge in a variety of mechanical systems.
- Ability to consistently maintain positive relationships with maintenance and production team members.
- Makes safety a priority at all times.
- Basic computer functions.
