Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator/Construction Manager to join our team at Ferguson Brothers Excavating.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain plans for bidding and determine the scope of work.
- Identify and contact potential subcontractors.
- Perform accurate and timely quantity take-offs and estimates for grading and excavating projects.
- Write bid proposals for small to medium-sized excavating projects.
- Maintain current material and subcontractor pricing.
Requirements:
- 2 years of Project Management in commercial construction, ideally in excavating.
- Proven ability to read and understand take-offs, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, AGTEK, Timberline, Civil 3D, HCSS (HeavyBid & HeavyJob), and MS Project.
- Verifiable experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
