Quality Technician 1st Shift

Proactive individual with initiative, a self-starter and ability and ability to work as a contributing team member, as well as individually with little or no supervision or direction. The individual should be able to perform the primary duties; responsibilities listed below and are flexible to perform other duties as necessary. The individual will be responsible for following all set guidelines and regulations. The individual should have excellent communication skills keeping the QA department informed of all issues accordingly.
Ways you will make a difference
The responsibilities include adhering to all company policies, procedures, and FPC-established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The role involves performing quality checks, conducting testing, and carrying out tasks in a safe manner while following FPC safety methods. Critical Control Point Checks, daily weight checks of packaging materials, ATP/Allergen Swab testing, environmental swabbing, participating in GMP audits, conducting inspections as needed, reviewing packaging paperwork, conducting daily checks, performing plant walk-throughs, conducting action on out-of-specification products when necessary, maintaining inventory of supplies, and additional duties as assigned.

Promotes teamwork, possess a good attitude, and exhibit flexibility and willingness to perform task as needed.
Spreadsheet and database Knowledge (excel and access)
Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety, quality and other relevant requirements.
Ensures compliance with FSSC, Organic, GFCO, and other relevant standards.
Previous food manufacturing quality experience preferred.
Experiences that will support your success
1 year of food manufacturing quality experience highly preferred.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
